Why?

Why is it that my kids don't play with their toys until I get them out for the yard sale?
Why is it that they only wet the bed the day after I change the sheets?
Why is it that on the days that I could really use a nap C sleeps for 30 min., and on the days that I need to be somewhere he sleeps all afternoon?
Why is it that when mommy has lots to do she has to figure out how to do it with 3 kids, and when daddy has lots to do it means that we will see him at supper time?
Why is it that someone suddenly needs my immediate attention as soon as I pick up the telephone?
Why is it that it takes me 3 days to clean my house, and it takes my kids exactly 3 minutes to trash it?
Why is it that at the age of 31 I still need a nap, but at the age of 4 my son does not?
Why is it that I'm willing to spend more on clothes and shoes for my children than I am for myself?
Why is it that the despite all of this I somehow can't think of anything else that I would rather be doing?

Hi Betsy! I've been meaning to get back to you about my friend Samantha's blog. Just e-mail me and I'll forward your e-mail address to her so she can add you to her "list". She said she would love to have you reading it! Hope you are well.

Love,
Sonya

Oh, sweet Betsy! It's the very definition of "mommy." It's all for the reason that the same word (mommy) that is so precious and sweet at 9:30 in the morning, but at 6:45pm can make your hair stand on end.

How I love reading the things you write!
