Whoa!!!

So my little sister has been insisting that I need to get on Facebook, while my husband has been simultaneously begging me not to...(yes, I do spend too much time on the computer already, but there's a little saying - something about a pot and a kettle..). Anyways, she signed me on this weekend while I innocently stood in the hallway and attempted to put on makeup while 4 wild banshees ran circles around me. Clearly I am the very last person to join this trend. Even The Blog Stalker and The Blog Scoffer are there already, along with my father, my mother in law, and apparently even my grandfather in law.
So now I'm home and I have 64 messages and people are writing on my "wall" and where the heck is my "wall" anyways and do I have an actual obligation to respond to everyone b/c that sounds like waaaayyy to much work and how did all of these people find me in just a few short hours anyway, I mean not that I care but I feel slightly invaded and very overwhelmed.
So I'm going to go eat a late supper with my husband now so that he can't say I told you so.
See you on Facebook. (:

I felt the same way when Robyn signed me up on Facebook! I never thought I'd do it, but now I'm addicted. I was so glad to see you had joined too!

It is a little intimidating at first. The "wall' thing is very cool and no you don't have to respond to everyone's comments. As for how people found you, on the news feed page I saw where Cindy T was now friends w/ you and that is how I found you. I don't typically search for people (I did search for people I went to elementary and high school with and my Tri Kappa sisters). Once you get the hang it is really nice being able to keep up w/ people that you know either old friends or new :)

Hey,
I think Holly invited EVERYONE to be your friend!! I think FB is fun but "people who were distant friends with people I once knew" are all inviting me to be their "friend"! Amazing!
Since you're a "blogger" it will probably seem like you are "repeating" yourself. The one good thing about FB is you can use it as much or as little as you want. Brett says all the "older" people are getting on it so you probably won't want to stay on it too much! :) hugs, JOY

Yes...welcome to the ultimate time-sucker. Very fun in many ways, but can be overwhelming if you let it. (And no, you don't have to respond to every message...or accept every friend request!)

Bets, this makes you sound really old. Which stinks for me, because we are the same age!
