Sisters

So, with Chad's blessing (: I packed Cullen up Thursday night and headed to Florida. I hadn't seen my little sister (or my sweet nephew) in over 3 months and it was just TIME! We had a great visit. Sometimes you just need to step away from it all, and clear your head a little, to be able to count your blessings. This was one of those times for me. So we shopped a little, went to some cool local restaurants ( like Sisters, above) , talked, played with our sweet babies and just enjoyed being together. A weird thing has happened in the last few years. We've always been super close, but I think when my sister became a mother it brought things to a whole new level. This is a girl who would have been perfectly happy to stay in college her entire life, go to sorority functions and cheer at the ball games- serioiusly. Now she is one of the most mature, selfless, spiritual people that I know. She has made sacrifices to stay at home full time with her son, and I don't mean chicken for dinner instead of steak! She constantly puts others before herself and seeks Godly wisdom in all her decisions. When we were kids she alway wanted to be just like me, now I just wish that I could be a little more like her!

Maddox- isn't he adorable! More pics to come from our weekend!

What a sweet time you had! I love having a sister and it is such a blessing.

Thanks for the recommendation on a doctor, and the offer of help! I will probably take you up on it sometime soon.

You have inspired me to try my own blog, and yet I am almost intimidated to write after reading your soulful insights. I love hearing about your life. And I have the funny feeling I am going to get to know you much better from Rome, GA than I ever did in Montgomery, AL.
