My little Cullen turned one this month. His birthday was the hardest one yet for me as a mother. When Owen turned one I was already planning for baby #2. When Dawson turned one I was just glad that I had lived through the first year. (: But Cullen is my baby. I don't know what plans God has for my family. It is almost certain that I will never carry another child within my womb. It is probable that I will never nurse another child at my breast. It is possible that I will never throw another first birthday party. I am not depressed about all of this, just sentimental, reflective. For all of my exhaustion and even whining, I love this stage of my life. I love having a house full of little people. Happy Birthday C!
