My worst fears confirmed in this new study. It was in this month's parents magazine so I googled it.
Interesting to read. I personally detest Arthur and Rugrats far more than Power Rangers. So I guess the question is do I want to my kids to learn to be brats or to be aggressive and antisocial. And football is included! Something to think about. I guess there is always a new study out there to make us worry and feel guilty.

Hmmm...I think Ian's mother is his biggest bad influence. Oh...we through our spiderman dvd away because violence was the least of the issues just behind sex and language.
Thanks for the comment. Peyton is 5.5 and has been high maintenance his entire life. It's so hard to be patient when he is irritating most of the time. We're working on it though. As far as TV violence goes, I would be curious to see more about those tested boys home life.
So I guess we just let them come up with thier own imaginative "rough play" and beat each other up. (oh wait they do that anyway). I would be interested to see the difference in behavior in children who had tv and no tv(are there any kids out there without tv) Betsy, let's go to Africa and study preschool boys and thier tendencies to play rough. It's funny to me that football is on the violence list and basketball is on the non-violent list. Basketball can be a contact sport too and theirs no pads or protection.
oh well, we do the best we can and sometimes that means they watch power rangers!
