You may remember some time last week when I posted a link to a blog where the woman had just spent the day at Korah, the trash dump in Addis, Ethiopia. Well, the group that she was traveling with, Ordinary Hero, just put out a video of their time there. Actually, to be quite honest, it was several days ago, but I just finally watched it today. I think that I was subconsciously avoiding it. I knew that it would break my heart. And my heart has been broken so much lately that I wasn't ready to face it. But the good news is that great things are starting to happen at Korah. God has not forgotten them. A young woman has moved their with her entire family and is serving those that had been forgotten. There is also a young man who lived in Korah as a child who, along with a team of other men, is doing big things for the residents there. I am still soaking up all the details myself, but spend some time browsing the websites below, watch the videos, read the history behind Korah, and prepare to be moved. There are many ways to help right now. You can sponsor a child, they need money for land to build a well for clean drinking water. We are choosing sponsorship because with 2 trips planned to ET sometime in the next year we would have the opportunity to form a relationship with the child we sponsor. Pray about what you might be able to do. Don't let Satan overwhelm you like he tries to overwhelm me! Get some friends or family and do it together. Every little bit really does make a difference!
