Addison is a very good baby, she is calm and very curious, always looking around at her environment, watching people.
The special mothers call her by her birth name. It sounds so sweet when they say her name in their native tongue. We call her this too out of respect. It is a strange thing , this whole multiple name thing.
We have one mother tell us that she is beautiful, and one that she is smart, of course we knew that already! (:
I put her in my sling today and she loved it!
The doctor came to see her while we were there yesterday. She is wheezing again ( or still ) and has a recurrent ear infection, the doctor says her eardrum is perforated, this typically heals on it's own. She will be on 2 antibiotics again.
We asked them to weigh her and she was 15 pounds!! Hmmmm, not sure about those 6 mo. clothes!
Her first tooth broke through last night! I thought that I saw some near the surface on the bottom and when we arrived today the special mothers were eager to show me her new tooth.
Even with a perforated ear drum and new tooth we have only see her fuss when she is ready for that bottle!
Hannah's Hope needs cloth diapers!!! They are literally rinsing out disposable diapers and hanging them out to dry! Today Addison had one such diaper on. It only had one tab remaining. They had placed a cloth diaper ( the decorative kind like we use as burb cloths) inside of the reused diaper. Of course we had brought them all of those donations, but I guess they know that they have to ration them out with over 30 babies in diapers.
While you are sleeping on Sun night we will be in court- please pray that we pass the first time. We are expecting to also meet Addison's birthmom on that day. Please for God's spirit to be with us during what we expect will be a very emotional encounter.

Oh Betsy, I'm so thrilled for you. I can't imagine how you are feeling. I'm trying to picture what Hannah's Hope might look like based on what we saw. I just keep thinking of that preciouse girl we saw in the village that day with the wells. Y'all are doing such an amazing thing!! I can't keep from crying everytime I read anything you write. Please know I'm praying for y'all! I just want to hug your neck--yes I said hug:)! Love ya!

15 pounds already, wow. She doesn't seem that big. So glad things are going well and I am praying court goes well (tonight for us) and that you are able to meet the birth mother. Also, such precious pictures of Addison. Can't wait to see her "whole body shots". Love you guys.
